Sat 22 Sept 4pm St John’s Hall Its4U Celebration - the Guest Speaker will be Rev David Emison, Chair of the Cumbria Methodist District. Editor of Presence - a handbook about Christian Presence in Rural Areas There will also be SHORT musical items, sketches, etc contributed by representatives from different churches in Settle and District. This will be followed by a Jacobs Join LOAF tea. Jacob's Join means bring an item to contribute (but don't worry if you don't, there's always masses of food) LOAF means the item brought should be one (or more) of the following: - Local - or - Organically grown - or - Animal Friendly - or - Fairly Traded   -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Past Events - This page now needs updating to rewrite announcements about future events as past events. In September 2006 we were joined by a Pais team - 3 young volunteers who will spend a year working with young people in our churches and in the local community. If you just want a quiet space in which to chill out or spend a few minutes thinking about the real meaning of Christmas, you will find it here. If you would like a cup of tea or coffee, or even a listening ear, people from churches in the area will be on hand, as part of the 'It's 4U' programme (a series of events arranged for the local community by churches in the Settle Area).
