Hi Phil H., looking for armitstead info in nw lancs and yorks borders. Yes, I would be interested in knowing what Armitsteads you have found up there, as this is the vicinity from which mine --I "think"--originated. I cannot find hide nor hair of my 2ndGt GF's reputed father, Jeremiah, and am doing poorly with his documented gf, James Holdsworth Armitstead, who in turn may be the son of one Richard from the northern parts there.
