HI Phil, I don't have much on the name Harling,but I'm very willing to share what I have. Hopin your neighbor will do the same if he sees any logical connection.My g-g-g-grandmother, Mary Ann Sophia HARLING was born 1 Jan 1815 in Suffolks, Southwark, Surrey, England. That is exactly the way it is written in the family bible. I'm not sure where she was really born. Anyway she married JOSEPH CHEETHAM 3 April 1836 in St John the Evangelist. I am told by the Vicar that the marriage certificates did not give any additional info. I don't find her in the IGI file and Idon't know what church records to order to check. I have info on her children which you can have if you want. I am also open to any suggestions as where to look for her. Thanks so much for answering my querie.
