Thank you everybody who helped with the Christmas Post - we raised £300 for the Group.

The competition year started with the Swimming Competition held at Shipley Swimming Pool.
Congratulations to all swimmers that took part from the Troop, which helped it to come joint first in the overall competition. Special mentions are for Luke Arrowsmith in his breaststroke race, Chris Wilkinson's (Diver Di) great win in the pyjama race and his brother Paul, not to be outdone, winning the under 12 backstroke.

Many thanks to former Scout Ian McIntyre who coached the team.

Congratulations to:

Chris Wilkinson - new PL Seagulls
Tim Wilkinson - new APL Seagulls
Andy Meehan - new PL Badgers
Terrence Soresby - New APL Badgers
Benjamin Ford - New PL Eagles
Michael Hastings - New APL Eagles
Chris Jenkins - New APL Ravens
James Mitchell - New APL Foxs

Well done to both teams in the Quiz Competition enabling the troop to finish 4th and 10th.

Thank you to those that turned up for the Civic Church Service to represent the troop to the Bradford Civic Committee who thought the troop did not exist!

John Smith has sadly resigned from his post of GSL. Pauline Marshall has volunteered her services. We would all like to thank John for his work.

Latest...

The ten-pin bowling competition was very competitive. Sadly we did not do very well!

The Internet site has been revamped a little. If you see these signs - it means something has been added.

I have connected the site to the Scout Spider Webring. The icon is situated at the bottom of the home page.

Ian McIntyre has said he will mange the Football team for the 5-a-side competition in April. Ryan Taylor is coaching the team - good luck!

We have some new Scouts.
Luke Argall, Stuart Eels, Robert Wall, Chris Chew, Matthew Binks, Ross Pickard and Jonathon Clark - welcome to the Troop.

Well done to Drew Milner and Michael Hastings for winning the competitive Cooking competition.

The Blakedean trip went very well. The older Scouts going to Scotland at Easter took some younger Scouts and practised cooking on the stoves. The rest of the Scouts made pancakes on open fires. We also played football around the tussocks, wide games and quizzes.

A Sea Scout Leader came to visit the Troop. He gave demonstrations on his equipment and showed us some slides. Click here to see William Ford testing his kayak out.

The canal barge trip went really well. The Scouts set off on Friday night and reached beyond Gargrave.

A report on the Easter trip to Scotland will be coming soon.
